A. There are so many ways to get involved with GeoPlunge or HistoryPlunge! Contact us and we can talk through the ways you can get involved: being a mentor to a team, volunteering at a Tournament, recruiting others to join you, organizing a tournament, and many more. Opportunities range from activities that take just a few hours to on-going volunteer opportunities.
A. Not at all! High school students make some of our best volunteers! There is nothing better than having high school students mentor younger students. We are happy to document your volunteer hours for classes that require service hours too. It is a win-win all around!
A.We have had several companies organize groups of employees to volunteer at a GeoPlunge tournament who have never played the games before. You can access all of the tournament rules on our website and access to training videos ahead of time so the volunteers can come to the tournament prepared. You will be very impressed with the knowledge these students bring to the competition table!
A. Great! We need sponsors for tournaments across the country. Sponsors provide monetary support for our efforts. Please contact us for a list of sponsorship levels and benefits.
A. Check our resources for individual game rules and tournament rules. If you are a visual learner, we are building our library of video tutorials too.
A .Currently, our games are only available online.
A.GeoPlunge is a great game for students who are currently studying U.S. Geography or who just want to learn more about our country. And HistoryPlunge is a great tool for teaching U.S. history at all levels because the games can be adapted to many levels. There are game rules, lessons, activities, and video tutorials on our resources page. Classroom teachers as well as specialists such as librarians use GeoPlunge and HistoryPlunge to build content knowledge and social skills.
